Exporting Contacts
You can export your contacts from the HeyGuest Dashboard as a CSV file, which is a common file format used to store data in a structured, table-like format. CSV stands for Comma-Separated Values. These files can be opened in spreadsheet applications such as Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, or other data-processing tools.
How to Export Contacts
Navigate to the Contacts section of your HeyGuest Dashboard.
Click the "Export Contacts" button.
This will open the Export Contacts popup window where you can customise your export settings.
Export Options
Within the popup, you’ll see the following settings:
Location Dropdown
Choose All Contacts or select a specific location from the dropdown menu.
Contact Type Checkboxes
Include email contacts (ticked by default): Exports all contacts with an email address.
Include email contacts without email marketing consent (unticked): Tick this if you wish to include contacts who have not given email marketing consent.
Include WhatsApp contacts (ticked by default): Exports all contacts with a WhatsApp number.
Include WhatsApp contacts without marketing consent (unticked): Tick this if you wish to include WhatsApp contacts who have not opted in to marketing.
Completing the Export
Once you’ve selected your preferred options, click the "Export" button.
Your CSV file will begin downloading automatically.
You can then open the file in your preferred spreadsheet program to view, filter, or analyse your contact data.
